I co-founded motion.page, an animation tool for WordPress, and I am lead platform engineer of a multi-supplier ticketing platform: a React SSR engine on Cloudflare Workers serving 45 languages, an edge router with over 23,000 compiled redirects, a B2B dashboard and a multi-tenant white-label system.

Prague is in the same time zone as Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Coordination happens in real time, not offset by hours and not the next day. I work in German or English, by video call, e-mail or in your ticketing system — whichever is normal in your organisation.

Czechia is an EU member state, so the GDPR applies directly. Neither standard contractual clauses nor a transfer impact assessment are needed, unlike with suppliers in third countries — which shortens a data protection review considerably. I conclude a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR as standard; it is part of the offer, not something added later when your data protection officer asks.

The fair question to ask a one-person supplier, so it is answered technically rather than with a promise. The source code sits in your repository from day one, not on my infrastructure. It is documented — architecture, deployment, dependencies and maintenance in writing — and uses no proprietary building blocks that only I can operate. Every project runs on widely used technologies you can find developers for on the open market. For larger undertakings I name a specific senior developer who is briefed and able to take over.

Scope determines the price. As a guide: a website from €3,400, an internal tool from €4,500, an AI integration from €5,500, an application or MVP from €9,500 — all prices net. The project calculator on this site gives you an indication of scope, duration and cost in about a minute.

After a free initial conversation you receive a written scope of work with individual line items, a schedule and acceptance criteria — settled before the first line of code exists. On that basis I quote a fixed price. Anything added later is set out as a change order with its own price and its own deadline, rather than being folded quietly into the final invoice. No surprises on the bill.

On larger projects in instalments tied to delivered milestones: each milestone is named in the offer, and every instalment invoice comes with an itemised statement of the work performed, from which you can judge the state of the project yourself. You pay for work that exists and that you have seen. Smaller projects are invoiced after acceptance. All prices net.

Against the acceptance criteria fixed in the offer before the project starts. You see working intermediate builds during delivery rather than only the end result — which makes acceptance a confirmation rather than a surprise. Everything else is documented in writing and ready for handover.

The statutory warranty applies. In addition to the statutory warranty period, I fix defects in the agreed scope free of charge for a period set out in the offer after acceptance — with no discussion about who caused them. Beyond that, maintenance and further development are available by agreement but are not a condition: you can take the work in-house at any time.

You do. The source code sits in your repository and you see every commit. Rights of use in the delivered work transfer to you in full by contract. No vendor lock-in — you can continue in-house at any time or hand the project to another team.

Yes, and it is often the better route. A clearly bounded first stage — one website, one process, one pilot — shows you what working together is like before you commit a large budget. Whatever grows out of it is commissioned as its own stage. I will also recommend stopping there if a larger build brings no measurable benefit.

I look for the processes where AI genuinely saves time — pre-qualifying enquiries, processing documents, an assistant working on your company data — build a pilot and train your team. Yes. This website is in German, but the work runs just as well in English — communication, offer, documentation and handover. Clients in the Netherlands sit inside the same EU framework as the DACH region: processing within the EU, a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, the same time zone.
